Day 1-2 Launch & Settle In
Meet your guides at the SRAC base camp. After a safety briefing, we hit the water! Paddle through scenic canyons, enjoy a fresh riverside lunch, and arrive at your first campsite by late afternoon. Welcome dinner by the fire.
Days 2–5: Rapids, Relaxation & Adventure
Each day brings new rapids to run, side hikes to explore, and plenty of time to swim, read, fish, or lounge in the sand. Meals are fresh, hearty, and shared family-style. Evenings are for unwinding by the campfire and sleeping under the stars.
Day 6: Final Float & Farewell
Our last morning on the water is peaceful and reflective. After one final stretch of river we reach the take-out at Carey Creek around noon, each lunch and depart on the shuttle that brings you back to McCall by late afternoon.

Our family was lucky enough to spend 6 glorious paddling the Main Salmon with SRAC. Our guides Tommy, Leah, Luke, Daniel, and Bodie were like a well-oiled machine full of positive attitudes, fun, and endless energy. Highlights include: all ages (6-50) paddling the deep, clear, fun whitewater in kayaks, duckies, and paddleboards, amazing camps, hotspringing, delicious healthy meals, soaring eagles, games and relaxation, no bugs and connection with family, friends, and our beautiful planet. Our family of 4 had an exceptional experience with SRAC on the Main Salmon! The outfitter employs capable / friendly guides, uses top of the line river gear/equipment and kept our crew fed with delicious meals throughout the trip. SRAC helped with transfers to/from the put-in / takeout and made the logistics straightforward. The guides are very experienced/knowledgeable as well as upbeat and positive. What an incredible 6 day trip my family had on the Salmon river with Salmon River Adventures! All of the guides were so accommodating and were fun good energy! We rafted and kayaked on the Salmon Main and it was absolutely beautiful.! Salmon River Adventures provided healthy meals and snacks. They were easy going and made it a stress free experience.
