Day Rafting FAQs
The Salmon River offers Class I–III rapids—perfect for beginners and seasoned adventurers.
Wear quick-dry (synthetic) clothing, a sun hat, sunglasses with a strap, and closed-toed river shoes (no flip-flops). Please bring sunscreen and a water bottle.

Usually 6-8 paddlers + 1 guide per raft. We’ll try to keep your group together if possible.
We do our best to keep groups together, but final raft assignments depend on group sizes and bookings.
No. We provide all required safety equipment.
Yes, for whitewater rafting the minimum age is 6, depending on water levels. For Scenic Trips, the minimum age is 4.
We recommend leaving valuables in your car. If you must bring them, your guide can store them in a group dry bag.
Yes! Trips run rain or shine unless unsafe conditions arise—in which case we’ll contact you.
Yes, with precautions. Please inform us ahead of time and bring all required medications. Contact us in advance for special accommodations.
No. Guests under the influence may not participate.
Our Full Day Trips meet at 9 AM. Our Half Day trips meet at 9 AM and 1 PM. Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your trip departure.
The number of river miles depends on the flow of the river at that time. The Salmon River is undammed and therefore the flow fluctuates. Typically, for a Full Day Trip plan to be on the water for about 6 hours and a Half Day Trip around 3 hours.
We provide a lift jacket, helmet, and paddle
On a Full Day Trip we provide a riverside lunch. On a Half Day Trip, we provide a snack.
Non-swimmers are welcome to join our Scenic Float trips. However, for the Whitewater Rafting trips, we do need guests to be comfortable swimming in the water.
Yes, you can bring a camera or GoPro, however we are not responsible for any damages. You must bring your own waterproof case.
No, gratuity is not included. If you loved your ride, please tip your guide. It's greatly appreciated.
We will run our trips even if the flow changes overnight. However, if the river unsafe to run, we will reach out to you as soon as possible to re-schedule or refund your trip.
