Yes—you’re visiting wild Idaho, and wildlife is part of the experience. To help keep both guests and animals safe, no food is allowed in tents, and we ask everyone to follow staff instructions and use common-sense precautions while in camp.

Wildlife sightings are generally rare, but rattlesnakes do live in the area, so staying aware of your surroundings and using a flashlight or headlamp at night is important.

Our base camp is located across the river. Our staff will ferry you and your gear over by raft. While we do our best to keep everything dry, gear may get wet, so please pack accordingly.

We also ask that guests pack light and bring only what they need. Our guides will be loading, ferrying, and hauling all gear across the river, and being considerate with your packing helps keep the process safe and efficient for everyone.

For safety reasons, river crossings are not available after 9:00 PM.
